returning to our Islands

The second part of a conversation between Dr. Sigfus Jonsson and Dr. Laurie Brinklow

As Sigfus and Laurie speak, their conversation turns to why Islanders stay on the Islands they’re from, even after they leave, even as they have their choice of other places to make their own.

There is something here about all that we treasure in the places that feel like home. And about shared understandings that are often unspoken on an Island.

Thinking about all the connections we have yet to make, as Sigfus reminds us that there are torches we need to carry. We are just two months shy of turning 40 after all, so the future is upon us!
